I wish there was another way for me to word this but I'll put it this plainly for you: life is short. We've heard that line countless times before but do we ever stop for just one second to seek its truth? I know the thought of it all is scary; the thought that life could come to an end at any moment or that day by day we are running out of time. Nevertheless, see beyond the fear and see it as having to pursue and live a happy, fulfilled life while you have the chance. See life as a blank canvas whereby, in the time that you have here on Earth, you must paint onto it everything you've achieved and done. This isn't about placing onto the canvas things that you believe the rest of the world wants to see or expects of you, it's about placing onto it things that define you, things that you've achieved, things that you love and are passionate about, things that have changed you and things that have brought you overwhelming joy, experience and lessons.
Time is precious indeed but that should never be the reason why you shouldn't pursue something in life. The truth is that people are often fearful of pursuing something because of the time that it will take but as has been said once before, time will pass anyway, Therefore it's a matter of making the most of the time that you have and more importantly, making the most of your life. We can't keep putting things off until another day and somehow resent the fact that we aren't seeing results or getting one step closer to where we want to be or what we want in life.
There's things in life that can be yours ever so simply but for the most part and realistically, many things, and surely because they're worth the fight, the struggle, the journey and the wait, will take time and hard-work before they're yours. Surely that's greater appreciated though? To finally succeed in something or to finally have something knowing that you earned it; that you did everything within your power to make it yours. It's about knowing that your passion and desire will never die and that you're willing to give everything you have to pursue what it is you wish. This is why we cannot delay. This is why you must start at this very moment. By taking baby-steps you'll see overwhelmingly satisfactory results in the long-run. To start now, your future self will thank you.
As they've questioned before, how can we tell when the perfect time is for us to be ready? Well we're never ready. And we surely can't be if we keep frightening ourselves with the belief that by a certain point in time of our lives we need to be ready. No-one's ever entirely prepared for the unpredictability of life. That's why the perfect and only time is NOW. If you're not willing to pursue what you want right now then you're simply making excuses and I apologise but you're just well and truly lazy. That or what you want doesn't mean that much to you. There's always something you can do to bring yourself that little bit closer to where you want to be.
Stop putting time limits on yourself. Stop saying you'll start tomorrow or on a specific date. Stop thinking you don't have what it takes or that you're not "ready." Stop scaring yourself into thinking that you can't take on the work that is involved into getting you to where you want. You don't want to be at the point where you think to yourself, "Had I started then, I could've achieved all that I wanted by now." There's so many opportunities out there for you to pursue. And if not, the beauty of life and especially living within the time that we do we have the power to create opportunities for ourselves. There's always a way to get to wherever it is you want to be so long as your passion overpowers the struggles you'll encounter along the way. Don't just plan and think. On top of that just do it. Start now. There's no perfect time like NOW.
